About Windows Live Custom Domains
Windows Live Custom Domains is perfect for individuals and groups who want personalized e-mail addresses for their own domain name (A unique Internet address, such as wingtiptoys.com. It is your personal or business address on the Internet.) . If you already own a domain name, Windows Live Custom Domains will host e-mail for that name. If you don't already own a domain name, you can purchase one from any one of a number of domain name registrars (A company that is accredited to sell Internet domain names.) on the Web, or, in some countries and regions, from one of our partners during the sign-up process.
With Windows Live Custom Domains, you can:
- Use your own custom domain name to send and receive e-mails and instant messages.
- Create up to 500 e-mail accounts within your domain. If you need more accounts, you can apply to receive an unlimited number. For more information, see Receive an unlimited number of user accounts.
- Receive 2 gigabytes (GB) of Inbox storage space for each of your accounts with Windows Live Mail.
- Check your e-mail from any Web-enabled computer.
- Control junk e-mail with Microsoft SmartScreen technology (Machine learning technology that uses a probability-based algorithm to determine whether e-mail messages are legitimate or spam.) .
- Receive e-mail virus scanning and cleaning.
